Bennett has three tattoos, including spiked metal to his left side deltoid, which he later extended to cover the whole shoulder; a tribal outline straightforwardly underneath the principal tattoo; and a rose on his right deltoid with the words "Society, Alienation, Boredom, and Despair" (a line from the Manic Street Preachers melody "Little Baby Nothing").

Bennett is a supporter of Preston North End FC and the Chicago Bears. He plays the guitar in his extra time, and appreciates perusing the works of Hunter S. Thompson. His most loved groups incorporate Guns N' Roses, Manic Street Preachers, The Beatles, The Jam, Oasis, The Smiths, Stereophonics, and The Stone Roses.

On 15 June 2008, Bennett was captured in Tampa, Florida, and accused of battery on a law implementation officer (a lawful offense) and impeding an officer (a misdemeanor). The capture occurred outside of Champps Restaurant and Bar at 2am. He was discharged the following day. According to FCW sources, all charges were hence dropped by police. The officer that Bennett impeded was not wearing a uniform and Bennett later expressed that, had he known the man was a piece of law requirement, he would not have blocked him.

In November 2014, Bennett got a U.S. green card, which qualifies him for unequivocal perpetual residency in the United States for the following 10 years.
